Grand Seiko Presents the Seasons Collection

King Jewelers is proud to announce that we have received the new Grand Seiko Seasons Collection in our Nashville showroom! Already well-known for their horological artistry, Grand Seiko has found a masterful way to seamlessly blend seasonality with precise functionality and superior elegance. Although, we cant be too surprised because the brand has been known for exhibiting nature-inspired designs on some of their most iconic timepieces. Exclusive to the U.S. Market, this collection features four watches, each meant to resemble, summer, fall, winter and spring.

Grand Seikos Seasons Summer and Fall

Summer and Fall

To start, let’s take a closer look at the Summer (SBGH271) and Fall (SBGH273) editions. These timepieces are both operating on the Hi-Beat 9S85 mechanical caliber, meaning that they can perform 10 beats per second to achieve a more precise accuracy without compromising the power reserve and longevity of the . The Summer edition features a vibrant, yet regal, green-colored dial with subtle textures that can be discovered when observed up-close. This color is meant to serve as a representation of the luscious greenery that can be admired during the height of summer. The sleek, yellow gold indexes add an extra touch of warmth and elegance to the summer edition. The Fall piece features that same understated pattern, except in a deep blue color with silvered indexes. This cool-tone reminds us of the chilly fall nights where the moonlight casts a bright blue glow on everything you see. Both of these timepieces showcase a date window at the three-o’clock hour marker and are enclosed by a 40mm stainless-steel case and bracelet.

Grand Seiko Seasons Spring and Winter

Spring and Winter

Grand Seiko took a different approach on their winter and spring editions of this collection, which also follow the 62GS case design. The Grand Seiko winter and spring reference, (SBGA415 and SBGA413), remind us of the iconic “Snowflake” timepiece that this brand is most-commonly known for. Aside from the Spring Drive movement , we also admire that same sweeping of the seconds hand across the dial. However, the dial on these two are a bit more textured and distinctive than their predecessor. The winter edition presents itself in a light shade of gray, reminding us of a snow day, while the spring model reveals itself in a faint shade of pink to represent the cherry blossoms that aid in defining a Japanese spring. Each of these two timepieces operate on the 9R65 Spring Drive calibre and are encompassed by a 40mm titanium case.
