Baselworld 2012 Spotlight: Hublot Classic Fusion Extra-Thin Skeleton Watch

Hublot classic fusion extra thin skeleton

Spring is always an exciting time of year. It’s that point in which the trees start sprouting leaves, the weather gets warmer, and flowers start blooming. This time of new beginning is especially true for Baselworld, the world’s leading luxury watch and jewelry show where leading designers get to show off the best of the best.

Taking place in Switzerland, Baselworld officially starts on March 8th and goes through March 15th and we’ve already started to see some exciting pieces on display. One such piece is the elegant -looking Hublot Classic Fusion Extra-Thin Skeleton watch. These extra thin beauties from the masters of fusion show an exceptionally designed skeletonized movement visible from the front and the back of the watch. The Hublot Extra-Thin Skeleton watch will be released in a titanium case and an 18 karat rose gold case, both with a satin-finish and Hublot’s in-house movement HUB1300 is one of the thinnest in the world at 2.90mm.

The rubies in the movement really pop out of the black skeletonized dial and rather than using skeletonized watch hands, Hublot opted for classic watch hands. The classic hands are much easier to read against the skeletonized dial. Also, with a 90 hour power reserve on a skeletonized movement, this thin watch movement sure packs a punch. The clean lines of this design give the new Hublot Fusion Extra-Thin Skeleton watch the look of an instant classic. This watch will be a limited edition with 1000 watches released in the titanium version and 500 released in the 18 karat rose gold.
